Sandy was born and raised in Sarnia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified General Accountant (FCPA, FCGA). Sandy received her Bachelor of Accounting Sciences (BAccS) degree from the University of Calgary. In 2019, Sandy & her husband Bob moved to Lambton Shores and she looks forward to continuing to meet the Personal Tax needs for residents of Lambton County. In June 2011, Sandy was granted the Fellowship award from CGA Canada in acknowledgement of outstanding service to the accounting profession. In June 2014, Sandy was granted Life Membership for her continued contributions to the accounting profession and her local community involvement. Past local involvement includes being a Non-Director Committee member of Bluewater Health's Resource Utilization Committee, Secretary on the Executive of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62, a member of the Board of Directors for The Breast Cancer Society of Canada and Community Legal Assistance Sarnia, as well as being a member of the Sarnia Police Services Board. Provincially, she is a past Director of CGA Ontario Board of Directors for 6 years, last as Vice Chair before the winding up of the Board upon successful completion of the merger of 3 large accounting bodies in Ontario. In 2013 Sandy successfully achieved her Chartered Director (C.Dir) and Audit Committee Certified (A.C.C.) designations from the joint venture with McMaster University and The Conference Board of Canada.

Receiving her accounting designation in 2000, Sandy has numerous years’ experience in income tax preparation and tax planning. Sandy maintains her income tax preparation knowledge by annually participating in income tax changes/updates courses. Past experience includes teaching accounting and tax in the continuing education program at Lambton College for 15 years, 7 years in a local public practice firm, CFO for the Sarnia YMCA which also included the Chatham and Goderich YMCA’s. Sandy was a marker for the CGA Ontario education program until being elected to the CGA Ontario Board of Directors in 2011. Currently, as well as maintaining her Income Tax Preparation Practice, Sandy is a Procurement Specialist at the Sarnia Suncor Refinery.
